Multi-Agency State Government Office Building

State of Utah - Division of Facilities and Construction Management
Salt Lake City, UT

Housing the State of Utah’s Departments of Environmental Quality, Air Quality, and Human Services, this facility and its landscape are designed as a sustainable representation of the services it provides. Water is re-used from the HVAC chiller to irrigate the native and drought-tolerant plant material, potentially negating the need for additional culinary water, thereby reducing long term maintenance and utility costs. Offices overlook the environmentally conscious, water-wise plaza and educational garden that provide outdoor space for employees and visitors to engage and enjoy the landscape and public art component of the design.
